THE KENYAN HEALTH CARE INITIATIVE brings Days FOR GIRLS TO CLOSE TO HOME
KHCI is the Connecticut Chapter of Days for Girls in the United States and has sent more than 2,500 reusable feminine hygiene kits to Kenya. Join us for a Sew-A-Thon to make shields, liners and drawstring bags on Saturday, September 23 from 10am-2pm. All machines are provided by Close To Home and representative from Days for Girls will teach the construction techniques. Enjoy refreshments all day, lots of great comradery, good feelings and fun. Everyone is welcome to drop in and sew, assist with cutting, ironing, assembly and more. Call 860-633-0721 to register.
